Original Medicare Provided by the Government
PART A Helps pay for hospital stays and inpatient care
PART B Helps pay for doctor visits and outpatient care
Decide if you need additional coverage. There are two ways to get it.
OPTION 1
Add one or both of the following in addition to original medicare.
Medicare Supplement Insurance which is offered by private companies and helps pay the out-of-pocket costs that come with Original Medicare
Medicare Part D Plan which is offered by private companies and helps pay for prescription drugs
OPTION 2
Choose a Medicare Advantage Plan which are offered by private companies. These are Part C plans that combine the benefits of Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance) in one plan that usually includes Part D prescription drug coverage. These plans may offer additional benefits not provided by Original Medicare.
